COMPOSITION
Albendazole : 2.50 g
Excipient qs : 100 ml
PHARMACEUTICAL PROPERTIES
Albendazole is an anthelmintic of the benzimidazole family endowed with a great activity on most internal parasites of ruminants, thus occupying an intermediate place between the anthelmintic endectocides, active on internal and external parasites, and other benzimidazoles no douvicides. ABZ is also active on adult forms of Fasciola hepatica. At a dose of 5 mg / kg, ABZ has an efficacy close to 80% on F. hepatica; at a double dose, it is greater than 90%. Note, however, that at this dose the activity is only 40% on immature stages.
