PHARMACEUTICAL PROPERTIES
Ivermectin, active ingredient of ATLAMEC, is an antiparasitic of the avermectin family endowed with a great nematocidal and estricide activity. Ivermectin acts on nematodes and arthropods via gamma amino-butyric acid (GABA). It causes its release from the presynaptic membrane and potentiates its binding to receptors located on the postsynaptic membrane. GABA is a neuromediatrician involved in the transmission of inhibitory messages between the interneuron and the motor neuron in nematodes, and between the nerve fiber and the muscle cell in arthropods. At the recommended doses, Ivermectin is very well tolerated in both adults and young people and can be used at all stages of gestation.
